Kamla Lohtia Sanatan Dharam College accredited B++ Grade by NAAC, Bangalore is a multi-faculty Post-Graduate Institution is an assertion of the citizens of Ludhiana City to know, to grow and to prosper physically, intellectually & spiritually.The College which is a manifestation of quest for knowledge was founded as Minority Institution by Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha (Regd.) Ludhiana in 1992,a religious minority in Punjab in the Golden Jubilee Year of Quit India Movement and centenary year of Swami Vivekanand's address to World Parliament of Religions at Chicago.

Over the years, this institution has grown from a small building with just two courses to a sprawling campus with a multi-faculty status comprising more than 14 different courses

Late Sh. Sudershan Kumar Aggarwal, the President of the College Governing Body and also President of Sh.Sanatan Dharam Sabha (Regd.) along with his friends in arms,laid the foundation of this college and since its inception, it has been progressing by leaps and bounds. From a tiny sapling planted in 1992, which has been tenderly cared by the Principal's and the dedicated staff of the college, this college has grown into a fully blossomed fruitful tree lending luster, knowledge and greatness to all who come to live under its shade. Today, it occupies a prominent position in the fields of academics co-curricular activities and sports.

It is a great challenge to transform the mission of an institution in to reality. Over the years, this institution has made every effort, by developing physical and human infrastructure, to accomplish the noble goals and objectives expected from a progressive educational institution.

In its pursuit of excellence the college has been strenously working to achieve the following goals and objectives:-
1. To impart quality education on Modern lines through a continuous adaptation to the changing requirements of Society.
2. To provide knowledge of age-old cultural heritage through invoking age old rituals, ceremonies scriptural knowledge and a conscious reinterpretation of the traditions wisdom.
3. Overall personality development of the students into genuine civic beings through curricular and extra-curricular activities.
4. To inculcate Sanatan values of peace,brotherhood and creative spirit among students.

This college does not simply churn out graduates, it gives to the society individuals who are matured mentally, morally and spiritually. For the harmonious and all round development of the students, great emphasis is laid on the high sense of discipline, honesty and a spirit of fraternity. The college endeavors to impart to its students quality education through latest modern techniques in the fields of humanities, Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.), B.C.A.(Hons), Master of commerce (M.Com.) & Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science & Applications (P.G.D.C.A.) by providing them healthy and stimulating environment necessary for their intellectual, moral,social and physical growth. The new vocational subjects of Information Technology and Computer Applications have been started for the students of B.A.I class from the session 2002-2003. The college started M.A (Eco) and M.Sc.(Information Technology) from the session 2001-2002

The College is affiliated to the Panjab University,Chandigarh in the year 1992 and presently got the status of permanent affiliation for the Three Year Degree Courses in Humanities and Commerce faculties for B.A-I/II/III and B.Com-I/II/III, B.B.A-I/II/III, & B.C.A.-I/II/III & B.Com (Hons). Post Graduate Courses (Semester system) M.Com.,M.A (Economics),M.Sc (IT), P.G.D.C.A. & Post Graduate Diploma in International Business . The college is also offering  the certificate/Diploma/ Advanced Diploma courses in vocational subjects at the Ist degree level in the following subjects:
