Mr. Sunil Aggarwal, Assistant Professor (Sr. Grade) in the Department of Political Science at Kamla Lohtia S.D. College, Ludhiana has got his second Minor Research Project sanctioned by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The commission has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 1,40,000/- for a period of eighteen months to complete the project. The topic of the project is “Structural Realism and Currency: A study in inter-linkages”. It is an interdisciplinary area focused on an emerging sub-discipline “Politics of Money” within the broader range of Political Science and International Relations. It looks into the political nature of currencies and the fundamental forces operational behind them. This project is a manifestation of the belief that academicians need to communicate as well as create new forms of knowledge. The college management, Principal and the fellow staff members expressed a sense of both pride and gratitude for this feat of their teacher.
